Smoothie bowls are great for a healthy kickstart of the day and the best thing is.. you can make them within 5 minutes. Put in some fruit, both frozen and fresh and top it with even more veggies, coconut flakes, buckwheat and dried fruit. This smoothie bowl contains frozen mango, bananas and the bright pink colour is credited to heaps of frozen raspberries. Special guest of this smoothie bowl: kiwi berries! I had never heard of them until uitdegrond.nl put some in my groceries (thank you!). They taste like candy and don’t they look so fancy?! I think they could serve as a great refresher when they are frozen. The kiwi berry is a size of a grape and grows wild in parts of China and Japan. Only around 5 farmers in the Netherlands grow them, which is a shame because this little candy like berry is very rich in vitamin C and is also a great source of magnesium (supports a healthy immune system), potassium (muscle function and cardiac function) and vitamin E (antioxidant).
